To Our Mount Calvary Families and Visitors:

Although the guidelines for gatherings on the national, state and local levels are changing for the positive (more people allowed) I have decided to cancel our 2021 Mother’s Day Mass which would have taken place on Sunday, May 9th. With over 200 people in attendance and current social distancing guidelines (6’ of separation) this is just not possible, even at a 3’ distance the logistics of keeping everyone safe would be difficult and not everyone would have a seat. Holding this event outside is not an option either. This event was discussed at this week’s (3/9/2021) board of directors meeting and the board concurred with my decision.

We know people will be disappointed for postponing this program for a second straight year however we look forward to May of 2022.

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey M. Reed

To Our Mount Calvary Families and Visitors:

As of November 19, 2020, Erie County has been designated as an “Orange” micro-cluster zone due to the rising number of COVID cases.

Mount Calvary Cemetery Group will follow the designation set forth by the State of New York and  limit mass gatherings to 10 people for both indoor and outdoor services.

We must adhere to the Governor's mandate and continue social distancing, wearing masks and limiting the amount gathered at one time.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

November 10, 2020

Effective today the Governor’s cluster constraints go into effect for Erie County. The yellow designation can last up to 2 weeks. Yellow means we are in a warning status meaning we are trending in the wrong direction with the number of new COVID cases. The next step would be deemed orange and ultimately red which equates to a shut down.

What does this mean for Mount Calvary Cemetery? Funerals are considered gatherings and the number of people assembled cannot exceed 25 people

We must adhere to the Governor's mandate and continue social distancing, wearing masks and limiting the amount gathered at one time.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey M. Reed
